Dulce Luna Viennoiserie
My lovely friend J bought me these mini pastries and at first sight I thought there were mini pizzas cause of the box they were in. The name of the store is such a tongue twister and I can't seem to pronounce the last word.
There were 7 assorted croissants and they were just too cute to eat. Reminded me of the moon crescent from the show Sailor Moon.
I love those flaky and buttery croissants which melt in your mouth when you bite into them and was expecting the same from these. These pastries are not croissants and are rather a mix between the French croissant and media luna which is the sweeter and smaller croissant found in Argentina cafes.
After eating a few, I found the outer pastry quite dry and some bits were hard which may have been because of the cold weather . It didn't have the layers I was after but I still enjoyed it regardless with my hot jasmine tea in this very chilly cold. I adored the fillings within them, specially the pistachio one. Must try the 'Dulce De Leche' one day.
